Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Universal Camera Remote Control ("the app", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the app.
1. What the App Does
Universal Camera Remote Control lets users browse remote profiles and send infrared commands from supported devices. The app also loads supporting content, checks connectivity, and may display ads.
2. Information We Collect
We do not intentionally collect personal information directly from you through a sign-up flow or user account system because the app does not provide one.
Depending on how you use the app, the app and its service providers may process limited technical information such as:
- device and app details needed to render ads or load app content;
- IP address and standard request metadata sent during normal network communication;
- basic diagnostics, crash, or performance-related information collected by platform or third-party SDKs;
- temporary app preferences such as sound and vibration settings stored locally on your device.
3. Information the App Does Not Intentionally Collect
Based on the current app implementation, we do not intentionally collect or request:
- your contacts, messages, photos, or videos;
- microphone recordings;
- precise GPS location;
- camera permission or direct access to your phone camera;
- login credentials or account profile information.
4. How Information Is Used
Information is used only to support the app's functionality, including to:
- load remote profile data and related app resources;
- check whether network access is available;
- send infrared commands from compatible hardware;
- provide sound and vibration feedback for button actions;
- fetch advertising configuration and display ads;
- open external links, such as the privacy policy, when you choose to do so.
5. Permissions and Device Features
The Android app currently declares these permissions and features:
- INTERNET: used to load remote data, app configuration, and ads.
- TRANSMIT_IR: used to send infrared commands on supported devices.
- VIBRATE: used for haptic feedback.
- Consumer IR hardware feature: used to identify compatibility with an IR blaster.
6. Advertising
The app uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob. Google and its partners may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, IP-based approximate location, device information, diagnostics, and ad interaction data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Third-Party Services and Content Sources
The app may connect to third-party or externally hosted services to retrieve app configuration, remote profile content, and advertising content. As part of normal internet communication, those services may receive technical details such as:
- your IP address;
- request headers or device/network metadata;
- app version or package information;
- timing, diagnostics, or delivery-related metadata.
8. On-Device Storage
The app may keep limited app state on your device, such as temporary settings or cached resources needed for normal operation. We do not operate a user account database for this app.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only when needed to operate the app, such as with advertising providers, hosting providers, or technical service providers that deliver app content or functionality.
10. Data Retention
Because the app does not maintain user accounts, we generally do not retain personal account records for app users. Data stored locally remains on your device until it is removed by the app, overwritten, or deleted when you uninstall the app. Third-party providers may retain technical or advertising-related data under their own retention practices.
11. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Security
We use reasonable measures to support the app and connected services, but no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Your Choices
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. You may also manage certain advertising and privacy controls through your device settings and any controls made available by Google or other third-party providers.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
